Request removal of supply

Electricity supply

If you no longer need your electricity meter and cable, either because the property is being demolished or you are converting a number of flats back into one property, you will need to ask us to remove your electricity supply. We provide this service free of charge.

Please note that you need to give us six weeks' notice.

Please include a daytime telephone number so we can contact you to discuss the work and a correspondence address. If the building is going to be demolished, we also need to know the date of demolition.

If Scottish Hydro Electric is not your local network operator, please phone us on 0845 300 2141. Our advisers will take your details and pass them to your local network operator who will contact you to discuss the work.

Gas supply

For queries about removing a gas supply, call our gas Enquiryline on 0845 755 2233. We may need to pass your details on to National Grid Gas to deal with your query.
