Electricity
Building a new property or converting an existing property into flats? You will need to apply for a new electricity supply to each of the new unit(s) or self contained flat(s) and probably be asked to pay a contribution towards the cost of the work.
Please write to us at Scottish Hydro Electric, Engineering, Lower Drayton Lane, Cosham, PO6 2HF with the following information:
- A copy of the local street plan showing where the property or site is located.
- A plan of the house or building, showing where you would like us to fit the meter(s).
- Details of the how much electricity you will need. Please give us a list of the main electrical appliances that you plan to use once the property is built. (For example 4 storage heaters, electric immersion heater, 7kw shower etc.)
- A daytime contact number where we can reach you.
Your local network operator is responsible for this work. If Scottish Hydro Electric is not your local network operator, please refer to your phone book or local classifieds directory for the correct phone number.
Gas
For queries about a new gas supply, call our gas Enquiryline on 0845 755 2233. We may need to pass your details on to National Grid Gas to deal with your query.
