Discover renewable energy systems, save money on your fuel bills
As traditional fuel prices continue to rise, people all over the world are looking for alternative energy sources that not only reduce their bills but also cut carbon emissions. So what options are available for heating your home?
Renewable heating
Renewable heating is heat energy obtained from a natural, sustainable source. Renewable heating technologies either convert freely available energy from the sun or burn organic material to create heat.
Air Source Heat Pumps and Ground Source Heat Pumps take solar heat stored in the environment (in the air or underground) and pump it into your home. Similarly, Solar Thermal Water Heaters convert direct sunlight to heat that can be used to supplement a domestic hot water heating system.
Biomass Heating Systems replace traditional boilers with a biomass boiler that burns organic material (usually wood from commercially managed, sustainable forests) to create heat.
Renewable heating sources reduce dependency on fossil fuels and actively cut greenhouse gas emissions. Renewable heating incentives are also available thanks to new government grants supporting renewable energy sources.
