  • Hot water from the sun

These days, every home goes through a lot of hot water so anything that can reduce the cost of water heating is a welcome idea. Solar thermal roof panels turn sunlight into heat. In fact, this renewable energy system can deliver up to 60%^ of a home's hot water requirements.

  • How they work

    • Solar thermal panels capture sunlight and convert it to heat
    • Heat from the panels warms a heat transfer fluid
    • The heat transfer fluid is used to raise the domestic hot water tank temperature
    • On occasions when sunlight levels are low, the conventional heating system tops up the domestic hot water tank's temperature to the required level

    Installation

Solar thermal panels are relatively straightforward to fit and installations can be done quickly with very little disruption. We will ensure panels are properly positioned to take maximum benefit of the sunlight available.

We are currently undergoing the MCS accreditation process for solar thermal panels and will not be in a position to carry out your installations until this is achieved. We are, however, in a position to carry out your design consultation and will work with you to identify suitable installers in your area.
