  • Heating from sustainable sources

As people all over the world look to reduce their dependence on fossil fuels, renewable energy sources have an increasingly important role to play. Biomass Heating Systems burn organic material (usually wood) from renewable energy sources.

Though they do release CO2 during combustion, the emission is only equal to the amount of CO2 previously absorbed during the plant's growth.

Biomass boilers can provide all of a home's hot water and heating requirements and can usually be integrated with existing radiators systems.

  • How they work

    • Compressed sawdust pellets are burned in the efficient biomass boiler unit
    • Due to the biomass boiler's high efficiency, minimal amounts of smoke and ash are produced
    • Burner automatically replenished from integrated pellet hopper
    • Pellets can be sourced locally to minimise environmental impact

    Installation

Installation of your Biomass Heating System is relatively straightforward and is similar to that of a conventional gas or oil fired boiler. While larger systems tend to be floor mounted and situated in utility rooms or outbuildings, smaller biomass units can be an attractive design feature in a room, but we are aware some internal modification may be required.

We are currently undergoing the MCS accreditation process for biomass boilers and will not be in a position to carry out your installations until this is achieved. We are, however, in a position to carry out your design consultation and will work with you to identify suitable installers in your area.
